My Story

My name is Parker Doelling and I currently live in the beautiful town of Bend, Oregon.  Born in Texas I ended up here after hopping on a one way flight to New Zealand and then thru-hiking the pacific crest trail.  As you can see from the excess of flannel in my attire I feel the pacific northwest has been a fitting adjustment. 

I have worn the hats of many passions and trades that range from being a paid member of an orchestra to moonlighting as a garbage man for beer money in college. 

When I was little I would draw superheroes, star wars characters, and made up goblins but honestly didn't touch another canvas until I began a masters degree in architecture.  I found myself craving the meditative space of a simple sheet of white paper.  As I watched my friends getting married I thought I'd do some portraits for fun and for health reasons I needed some low impact activity to get through recovery. Turns out I have the special knack for mind numbing detail and stubbornness to boot to put in the hours.
